Vintage Americana postcards from the 1920-1960s. Nostalgic and Retro fun. We’re talking about the roads that connected America long before the Freeways, and the late 1960’s – 1970’s transportation projects. The “Mother Road”, “Main Street America” and “Route 66” were all synonymous with a road that reached from Chicago to the Santa Monica Pier. Life was simpler and many small towns were alive and thriving, but since freeways, highways and Interstates “bypassing” caused those small towns to fold up. Just for fun, I’m collecting postcards (digital format) from everywhere across The United States of America during 1920-1960s.
